Hello and welcome back.....I have featured Def Leppard before on this blog =  SEE HERE.

I am a huge fan of this band and have many fond memories listening to their music (one of them- I actually Died while listening to the song "Rocket"...see previous Def Leppard blog (link above)).

This concert was just after their 1987 album release "Hysteria", probably one of the biggest albums of the 80s.

Hello and welcome back......Due for release back in Feb 2012, Alison Moyet's ( Yazoo, Yaz) new album "The Minutes" was put on hold, Change record company, and now due for release on 6th May (U.K) - 11 June (U.S) 2013.

"When I was Your Girl" is the new single from this album and was released in April 2013.... It also features Alison's daughter in the video.

Its great to hear Alison's remarkable voice that time has not changed..... although the song has a dark undertone, not like anything Yazoo or Alison's earlier work, she has matured and it shows in her music giving her a more raw sound.....I like it, It suits her.

Hello and welcome back...... Not known for her singing, Molly Ringwald will release a jazz album on the 9th April 2013.
What caught my attention was the end song from her album "Except Sometimes" which is the Simple Minds song "Don't you Forget about Me" (Jazz style)
Her voice is positively sultry and sends shivers down your spine.

When I first heard “Sun”, I immediately knew I had to record it. It’s the best song I’ve recorded since “Heaven Is A Place on Earth”, and I’m really excited for everyone to hear it!

Hello and welcome back..... Sometimes the simple things in life are often the best..... as with this 1981 song, just a man (Billy Field) and a piano, letting the lyrics hit you in the heart.
I love this song...reminds me of a certain girl in my life at the time, yes I was in love with her, but she was just friends with me.....
Billy also had a hit called "Bad Habits" also in 1981, it was more of a Swing type of song but it was a hit non the less, but it was the song "You weren't in love with me" that always brings a small tear to my eye.

ALF - STUCK ON EARTH (lost hit)

Hello and welcome back.....Who could forget the lovable alien "ALF" from the planet Melmac.
He was so Cute & Loveable that he could get away with anything including trying to eat the Tanner family cat (Lucky) 
ALF was short for Alien Life Form
Did I mention he was cute?
The name of Melmac was in reference to dinnerware from the 1950s.

In 1987 a Dutch radio show did a remix called "Stuck on Earth", I admit I brought this single....It was catchy, one of those songs that stick in your head.
Stuck on Earth made it to No 6 in the Dutch music

If only all aliens were this cute...... Just hide your cat
