Nius X is a pop duo formed in 1996.
The group consists of Nils Olsson (lead vocals and keyboards) and Linus Kase (lead guitar, keyboards, drums, bass and backing vocals).
Initially rooted in classic pop music with influences from Genesis, Depeche Mode and Nik Kershaw, Nius X sound has grown to incorporate styles from many genres of popular music, yet has maintained an anthemic sound built on the expressive vocals of Nils Olsson and the evocative chords and soundscaping of Linus Kase.
Their lyrics, often embellished with pointed messages, focus on sociopolitical concerns. Based in Stockholm, Sweden the band is today often described as a cross of eighties style synth music and contemporary alternative pop.

Jammin' next to bands like 'S'Express', 'Bomb the Bass' and 'Coldcut', 'The Beatmasters' had a funky style mixed with serious dance undertones.
Set free in 1989, 'Anywayawanna' was a hit in the U.K reaching #30 on the music charts and includes 5 singles 'Who's in the House,(#8 UK) 'Hey DJ/I Can't Dance'(#7 U.K), 'Burn it Up'(#14 U.K), 'Warm Love'(#51) and my pick off the album "Rok Da House'(#5 U.K).. with its thumping beats and grooving piano's, its a song i never get sick of listening to...

Not alot is known about Man Machine.. I first stumbled across this album while reading a music magazine on the way to work and thought that the album cover looked futuristic...
Two songs stand out on this album, 'Man Machine'(Track 7) & 'Play to Win'(Track 10)...There is also alot of experimental stuff on here.. Good if you like electronic beeps & stuff..
