Hello and Welcome Back... Wicked album of my very Awkward Youth..
Released in 1990, 'Tingles' was the first 'EP' by Australian band 'Ratcat' which seen 1 single spawn from the album, that single being 'That Ain't Bad'
This album came out in a strange time in my life... I had just spent 4 months in hospital due to a bike accident (Read the sad, sorry tale here) and i decided to get off my painful butt and head back to work... While catching the train home from said work, i got talking to a beautiful girl who lived further down the train line from me, her name was Kim..
Sadly as i was to find out, Kim already had a boyfriend but had a girl friend called 'Megan' that i could hook up with and we could all hang out.. Megan was quiet, very quiet... and well, i was also quiet, as girls would make me nervous so not much happened... sadly.
But we all had one thing in common, we all loved the band 'Ratcat'.
So there we were, all squashed in a little 2 door sports car headed to Thirlmere (where Kim & Megan lived).
Kim (the girl i had a crush on) was driving, her deadbeat boyfriend in the front passenger seat who got some pleasure out of pinching my leg while i was stuck in the backseat with my 'kind of' girlfriend all trying to sing in harmony, the song 'That Ain't Bad' turn up at top level while dickhead in the front passenger seat kept playing with my leg...
I wanted to punch him in his fat head, '1', because his pinching was beginning to get harder and more erratic & hurt like hell and '2', he was dating the girl I liked..

I remember when i brought this album... I was on my 10th wedding anniversary holiday to 'Port Macquarie' in NSW and went for a wander around the town. The beaches are amazing there but i decided to head to the shopping centre and to the local record store which was called 'Sanity'..
I brought the album on a whim, i don't normally do that in case they turn out crap but i like most of R.E.Ms music so i though 'Why Not'... I always travel with my Discman so when i got back to my hotel room, i had a listen and was pleasantly surprised, my wife was covered in honey and wanted to be called 'Sticky'... Wait, No , Sorry, Wrong Site... The album was actually really good, so now, when i listen to this album, it reminds me of my 10th wedding anniversary... Good Times

Hello and Welcome Back....Wicked Album This, Got Some 'Moist' tracks on it...
Released in 1993, '03' was the 1st studio album by U.K outfit 'Sunscreem' which seen 5 singles flower from the album, those being 'Walk On', 'Pressure', 'Love You More', 'Perfect Motion' & 'Broken English'
Kudos to track #9 'Idaho' should have been a single.. It Pumps..
Track #11 'Broken English' is a remake of 'Marianne Faithfull' 1980 song of the same name..
I stumbled across this album at a pivotal part of my life. I had just split from my ex-girlfriend and was stalking, no.. wanting to catch up and while waiting for her to finish her shift at Macarthur Square (Campbelltown) in a coffee shop, i decided to clear my head and headed to a record store on a lower level and the song 'Love You More - by Sunscreem' was cranking out the loudspeakers. I was hooked then & there so i brought the album on Audio Cassette and headed back to my car to have a listen, while doing so decided that i should leave Jodie (my ex-girlfriend) alone and if she wants to see me, then she should come and find me... So I drove away listening to this album and i never seen Jodie again...
All is not bad, I married the love of my life a year later and we are still together today with 4 beautiful children.. Oh, and 2 cats... One is meowing at me as i write this saying 'Come Pat Meeeeeeee'
