 Hello and Welcome Back... How Huge Was This Album in the Late 80s?

 

Released in 1989, 'Trash' was the 11th studio album by U.S singer 'Alice Cooper' which seen 4 singles spawn from the album, those being 'Poison', 'Bed of Nails', 'House of Fire' & 'Only My Heart Talkin'

I remember the song 'Poison' very well, i got to hear it at least 3 times a week (video) and multiple times on the radio... I had to, you see, i had nothing else i could do. 

When the song 'Poison' came out, i was in hospital for 4 months after a bad bike accident. I broke my pelvis in 4 places amongst other things so i had alllllllot of time to lay there and watch TV and listen to the radio... 

I wasn't going anywhere for a while...

I may have been smiling for the camera but i was living in a hell..

Those steel pins you see in the photo started to get golden staph infection and was starting to leach into my blood supply so the order was to take them out early. 

Once i got back to my room after the operation to remove the pins, i felt my pelvis spring apart at the front tearing the scar in my abdomen wide open.. 

That, boys & girls is the true meaning of pain. That head of hair that you see in the photo above, was to all fall out a few weeks later due to the pain levels. I also had to learn to walk again.

To this day, my pelvis is still sprung apart and yes, it still hurts.. but, that's life..
