 Hello and Welcome back.. Around 2009 - 2013, there was a surge of 'Retro-Wave' / 'Retro-Synth' artists that lived and breathed everything 80s. 

Youtube user 'Neros77' caught on to this wave with catchy videos to match the many wannabe 80s sounding producers who were mostly 16-19yo and thought they knew everything about the 80s, until someone who actually live through the 80s, told them 'It was nothing like that'.. 

Still some 'music producers' were actually pretty good and some, were like, every 2 minutes 'Ive released another song' all by adding sounds to a computer and spewing out tracks that sounded the same and went for long times with no change in sound structure..

But through all of this, there were a few songs that shone thru the smoke and a few of them are on this album.. Take a Listen 

 

Released in 2009, Valerie and Friends' is a music compilation of various dance '80s sounding' songs under the banner of 'Retro-Wave' / 'Retro-Synth'
