Following its 12" release exclusively in Japan in 1985, the 'Special Mix' quickly became one of the most highly sought after Dead or Alive remixes. Remixed by Kiyoto Araseki (荒関清人), whom at the time was the resident DJ at Shakamandara in Sapporo, Japan, 'Special Mix' features the newly-released single 'My Heart Goes Bang', as well as three cuts from 'Youthquake': 'DJ Hit That Button' and previous singles 'Lover Come Back to Me' and 'You Spin Me Round'. Araseki also provided liner notes for the Japanese 12" release of 'Brand New Lover', released November 6th, 1986.

Using the original mix, 'Special Mix' was digitally remastered by Ben., marking this as the first time the mix has been released online in HQ. The most popular upload of this particular mix on YT is another digital reconstruction, however it is not correct and does not follow the original mix, particular in the 'My Heart Goes Bang' section.

I'm only selling my beloved Sony phone because 3g was switched off in NSW (Australia). The Sony Xperia 1 III is a 5G phone but Telstra has decided that it was all too hard and has blocked all Sony phones... Optus & Vodaphone has gone down the same path

I love this phone, many of the Soundz80s album covers were done on this phone (camera) and the sound quality is wicked..

The Micro SD card with all the albums is worth a huge amount on its own (if you were to add up all 630 albums)..

SO, WHERE TO FROM HERE?

 Hello and Welcome Back... So, Ive had a think over the weekend of what to do..

I'm NOT shutting down this site, If it does shut down it won't be from me..

I'm still going to do Soundz80s compilations and 80s compilations. I think Compilations are safe from being taken down than full artist albums... So I will still post these..

Compilations can sometimes take more than a day to complete so I may not post every day but something will be on its way shortly...

Hello and Welcome Back... Sadly, after 13 + years of posting music on this site Electronic80s / Soundz80s.. The time has come.

Overnight I got 38 Take-down notices for copyright from Google..

(one of the take-down copyright notice above)

I have noticed that there are albums I swear I have posted before on this site and they seem to have gone missing, now I know why.. I feel this might be the only the start of the large copyright snowball.

Its no use posting albums only to have them disappear overnight and if I keep doing it, they (google) will shut down the site.. I don't want the site to close, i've worked too hard to have that happen..

If you come across a album where the link no longer works, this would be why

So, where to from here?.. 

I have an idea and will work on it over the weekend and see if anyone is interested.. So, for now, enjoy what this site has to offer..

 Hello and Welcome Back... 2nd album from Melbourne band 'Boom Crash Opera'.. 

I actually got to see this band live at Darling Harbour in Sydney one summer in 1990. They were playing on a floating pontoon and me and a bunch of friends were on the overpass looking down. It was a very surreal feeling as the overpass started to flex with traffic and a heap of people jumping up and down, felt for sure we were going to end up in the water with the overpass going to fall down.. Thankfully it didn't..

ELECTRONIC SYSTEM - ELECTRONIC SYSTEM (Australia First Issue CD FLAC EX)

 Hello and Welcome Back... The Album That Started It All For Me. 

It was 1978 and I had received a Panasonic shoebox cassette player and 2 audio cassettes for Christmas that year. One cassette was 'The Animals - House of the Rising Sun' and the other cassette was this album. 

Sure, some songs may sound a bit childish (Tchip Tchip = Birdy Dance) but there was one song that I played over and over, (#3 Say With Me) but it was the synth sounds that got me hooked. 

This was music by a Belgian composer called 'Dan Lacksman' who would later become the band 'Telex' in the early 80s.

As an 8 year old, hearing these amazing synth sounds that seemed so foreign in a country, that rock predominantly ruled..

Released in 1973/74, 'The Electronic System' was a electronic synth album by Belgium composer 'Dan Lacksman' (Telex / Electronic System)

The album on offer is the album i re-created to match the songs on my original audio cassette listing from CD sources. 

The cover that was on my original cassette (above) doesn't seem to match the track listings online. The cassette i owned was an Australian release and i wonder if it was a compilation using the above cover. I still have the original cassette which is how i matched the songs to the album on offer.
