Hello and Welcome Back... Sad News, My Music Player is Dying.
My music player, aka my phone has developed a screen issue. The phone is a Sony Xperia XZ Compact which can play 24bit audio through the Sony music app..
I am devastated, as every album that i post on this site goes through my phone, i listen to make sure the quality is top notch before i post..
I can't work out how it happened as it was working fine, then i put it on charge before i went to bed, then around 2am i turned it off as the green charge light was on, then when i turned it on a few hours later, it started to do this.. WHY?
The photo above don't do it justice, when you turn the phone on, it looks ok but after a few seconds it starts to get pale white lines that get worse and worse.. till you can barely read it.. :(
I though maybe i may have static the phone, which i read on an online forum, the problem goes away in a day or so, but its been 4 days now..
What To Do?
Thinking it might be a software problem, i did a full wipe of the phone... no help
I took it to my local phone guy, he thinks it may be the screen or a hardware problem...
So
Should I
Buy a New Phone (Donations Anyone ??)
or
Buy a new screen and try to repair it myself, only if its a hardware problem, then its a waste of time / money if it doesn't solve the problem..
or
Send to phone guy and let him try and fix it..
I Love My Sony Phone, Its not a huge expensive phone (compact) but the sound quality is excellent which is why i love Sony phones so much..given its a 2017 model, i'm stuck as what to do..
Any Ideas as what has caused this and how to fix?
