Hello And Welcome Back... Before They Were 'Icehouse', They Were Known As 'Flowers'
Released in 1980, 'Icehouse' was the 1st studio album by Australian band 'Flowers' who later changed their name to 'Icehouse' due to another band with the same name. The album flowered (see what i did there) 4 singles, those being 'Can' Help Myself', 'We Can Get Together', 'Walls' & 'Icehouse'.. Kudos to the tracks #3 'Fatman' & #9 'Boulevarde'.. Should have been singles.. Moist.
This album is the reason i started this site 'Electronic80s' and was one of the first albums that was posted way back in 2010.. I had such an effect on me...
Flowers (Icehouse) was one of the first bands to use the "Fairlight" synthesizer which you can hear in most of their songs. A classic example of 80s electronic music that i wanted to share with the world..
The album on offer is the Made in Japan (for Australian markets) First Issue CD in FLAC EX Format..
