1988 - HIT PIX 88 VOL2 (Australia CD FLAC EX) (re-up)

Hello and Welcome Back.. Absolutely Love This Album.. Used to Own on Cassette Tape but Wore It Out...

Released in 1988, 'Hit Pix '88 Volume 2' is a Australian compilation of various wicked songs from the year 1988..

This album accompanied me on my trip to World Expo 88 in Brisbane QLD.

I was catching a train that would leave Sydney around 5pm and get me to Murwillumbah near the Queensland border around 11am the next day, then a coach to Sunshine Coast QLD

Tickets - Yes

Camera + film - Yes

AIWA Walkman & spare battery's - Yes

My Hit Pix 88 Vol2 Cassette - Yes

To say it was a rough night was an understatement..

The constant moving from the train was unsettling, not to mention that I slugged a few beers down then headed for the desert bar in the dining car... Mmmm,... Ice Cream..

Few hours later, seen me throwing up down the side of the train as dinner, beer & ice cream was like being in a blender of constant movement...I Felt Green

Thankfully, I had my trusty Walkman to keep my mind from my ever unhappy stomach and this album 'Hit Pix 88 Vol2' to sooth me to a disturbed sleep, or until the train came to a shunting halt at the next station...

The Album on offer is the Australian CD in FLAC EX Format...

DAMARGE - 1981 - 1984 (CD FLAC EX)

Hello and Welcome Back... Quoted as Sounding like Depeche Mode + Killing Joke & Throbbing Gristle = Damarge

Released in 2022, '1981 - 1984' is a compilation album by U.K outfit 'Damarge' covering all their Singles, B-Sides & Outtakes..

The album on offer is the 2022 U.S CD Released in FLAC EX Format...

Ive listened to this album a few times... You will find gritty raw music that draws on early electronic experimentation in early 80s England..

With bands like Depeche Mode, Yazoo & New Order just around the corner, this album is exciting listening, to be taken back to a time when electronic music was still being experimented with, all lovingly captured from original tapes...

There's even an attempted at recreating 'Donna Summer - I Feel Love' (#12).. Its Raw, Dirty & Moist (Just the way i like it)  :)

Take a Listen...

1987 - '12' (Japan - Australia CD FLAC EX)

Hello and Welcome Back... '12 Hits For 12 Dollars' That Was the Sales Pitch back in 1987

Released in 1987, '12' was a Australian compilation of various tracks, some kinda rare..

The album on offer is the Made in Japan for Australian release CD in FLAC EX Format...

I used to own this album on audio tape back in the day it has a good selection of rock, pop and ballads and was decently priced at only $12... Sound quality was mint as it was made in Japan... Sadly, while listening to this album, i saw a guy get run over on his bike... I was on my lunch break, heading to the mall for a 'snack box' (Chinese meal - spring roll, dim sim, sweet & sour pork & fried rice in a plastic container)... I was listening to track 5 'Billy Idol - Sweet 16' when a guy rode past me on his bike, he looked at me as i recognized him as one of my sisters friends, only for him to ride straight into the approaching intersection and straight into the front of a turning truck which then ran over him, right in front of me...I went back to work crying as i tried to process what i had just seen... Turns out, the secretary of where i worked also knew the guy as she used to baby sit him when he was younger, she went white as i said his name... Sad Day..

DAVE SMITH (SEQUENTIAL CIRCUITS) - INVENTOR OF THE PROPHET-5 / WAVESTATION SYNTHESIZER HAS DIED

Hello and welcome Back... Sad News This Morning with the death of 'Dave Smith' (Sequential Circuits) who invented the Prophet / Wavestation Synthesizers...

I'm a huge fan of the Prophet Synthesizers, their lush pad / string sounds are legendary.. So much so, 'Roxy Music' used the Prophet Synth in most of their albums... (see below) as did Michael Jackson (Thriller), Madonna (Like a Virgin), Tony Banks (Genesis), Phil Collins, Peter Gabriel (So) and heaps more...
