Released in 2007, Australian Pop Of The 80s - Counting The Beat' is the first album in a six part CD series of Australian Pop Rock music of the 80s.. It was not uncommon to turn your radio on in the 80s and hear at least most of the songs in this series... 

For me, i listened to 2SM (Rock of the 80s) in Sydney, where all the good music was... UNTIL, everything went 'Stereo'.. That right folks, the early 80s was still mostly mono, until, i think it was 2MMM (Triple M) went Stereo and WOW, a whole new world of stereo goodness...

I'm guessing around 1984, maybe? I got my fist walkman, Christmas, 1984 and listened to the fist sounds of Stereo with Band Aid - Feed the World the first song i heard... Never forget that moment, standing on my parents porch, it was hot already.. and the smell of new plastic of my walkman listing to this wonderful new world of stereo music...been listening ever since...
