MOBY - UHF3

Hello and welcome back.... Cleaning out my cupboard, i stumbled across a CD that i had made when i brought my first car. Its pretty scratched but was able to upload to my computer, then use Soundhound to identify the tracks (my memory is not that good).... So hear it comes, the next few posts will be from that CD i affectionately named... "Munchies for your Bass" - Late 80s, Early 90s Dance / Rave.. Enjoy
(hint).. if i get enough views i will release the CD as a download.

First track is by Moby called UHF3, not sure if was ever a single. There was a a B-side track called UHF2. Still its pretty awsome.

Love the synth sounds, like nothing else.

THE OUTFIELD - YOUR LOVE

Hello and welcome back.... Such an awesome song this, the Lyrics, Guitars, Melodies etc... Brilliant..

U.K (Manchester) band 'The Outfield' from 1985 sounding very American. Set free from the album "Play Deep", ' Your Love' made it to No 6 on Billboard top 100 music charts.

Strap on a good set of 'Cans' (Headphones) and remember one of the best songs that came from 1985, Your Love from The Outfield

** UPDATE**  Sadly last year (2014), Guitarist John Spinks died of liver cancer, aged 60 years young. John wrote this track 'Your Love"... RIP

VANESSA - UPSIDE DOWN

Hello and welcome back... From the Netherlands came this track back in 1982.
Dutch singer / actress Jacoba Cornelia (Connie) Witteman (aka Vanessa) got lots of attention after this video featuring shiny nylon shorts, big men with big muscles and low cut tops.

Gotta Love the 80s, mind you.. the YouTube count for this video stands at 2.2 Million views

THE PROMISE - HEART TO SELL

Hello and welcome back... Funny story this one.

I had a dream the other night. I was at a convention of some sort and this guy introduced himself as being in a band called "The Promise", he then asked me who i was and i replied that my name was Michael Bailey and i was from the band 'Dream Sequence'...
'Aahh yes', he replied, 'ive heard of you'... which i was pretty chuffed because not many people know of my band... and then, thats all i remember.

So, where am i going with this?

I checked the internet this morning and turns out there is an Australian band called 'The Promise' which is surprising because i had never heard of this band before... and, they had a kick arse track back in 1984 called 'Heart to Sell'
Love the bass in this song, also a big 'Thanks' to the bass player (Kerry Dunne) for putting the track on YouTube for all to hear...
Am i destined to meet this band?... only time will tell.
