S'EXPRESS - MANTRA FOR A STATE OF MIND (12" & Remix Week)

Hello and welcome back... Another awesome song to fire into the 12" and Remix week... UK sensation S'Express with parts 1 & 2 of 'Mantra for a state of Mind'. This song was huge in nightclubs in the late 80s.
Released in 1989, music producer 'Mark Moore' was the brain behind S'Express', using various sampling techniques mixed with Synthesizers, This music was like nothing we had heard of before..
The rare (ish) parts 1 & 2 goes for around 11 mins but gets better and better as it progresses, def recommending  listening with a good set of headphones exp towards the ending...
Enjoy

KYLIE MINOGUE - LOCOMOTION (12" & Remix Week)

Hello and welcome back.... This one took me ages to find, really rare version. This is the Australian Girl meets Boy Mix... I used to have this version on vinyl.
Its the Locomotion but with a male singer added as well, and then there's the Chug,Chug Chugga Chug Chug bit around 1.40 that sounds mad...

Kylie was best known as her stint in Australian TV show 'Neighbours'  as squeaky clean good girl mechanic 'Charlene Mitchell' before being signed to Mushroom records after singing 'The Locomotion' as an encore at a local football club concert.

Locomotion went to No1 in 9 country's including Australia and the U.S back in 1988....

Enjoy

TEARS FOR FEARS - PALE SHELTER (12" & Remix Week)

Hello and welcome back.... Another excellent song for 12" inch & Remix Week, this time from UK band 'Tears For Fears'

Taken from possibly one of the best albums in the 80s "The Hurting", Pale Shelter has been released and re-released 3 times now (1982, 83 & 85)... but, I never get sick of hearing it.

Pale Shelter made it to No5 in the UK music charts (No 12 in Canada).. this was the 1983 release.

The 12" version really breaks down the guitars, synths and beats in an almost hypnotic way, so good...

ENJOY

TEARS FOR FEARS - PALE SHELTER  (12" Extended)  (Thanks to Zeldaartist for the video)

SONG LYRICS (So you can sing along)

How can I be sure ?
When your intrusion is my illusion
How can I be sure
When all the time you changed my mind
I asked for more and more
How can I be sure
When you don't give me love
You gave me Pale shelter
You don't give me love
You give me cold hands
And I can't operate on this failure
When all I want to be is
Completely in command
How can I be sure
For all you say you keep me waiting
How can I be sure
When all you do is see me through
I asked for more and more
How can I be sure
I've been here before
There is no why, no need to try
I thought you had it all
I'm calling you, I'm calling you
I ask for more and more
How can I be sure
