DREAM SEQUENCE - I AM A CYLON (XTimelord Dance Edit) (Sounds like the 80s)

Hello and welcome back.... I'm a huge fan of the 80s series of 'Battlestar Galactica' and a particular Cylon called 'CYE'...

For those that don't know, Cye sacrificed himself for Starbuck in the episode 'Return of Starbuck' (S01Ep10)

So Australian Music Producer 'Dream Sequence' with help from 'XTimelord' wrote this track.

See if you can hear a particular sound used by 'Michael Jackson' that was made by Dream Sequence on the 'Fairlight Synthesizer' for this track..

Not much is known about this outfit "Dean Corporation" but this track kicks, I think they maybe from Holland because they go thru 'Beach Club Records' which is in Holland.... I could be wrong. Enjoy the track 'App Me'

KOTO - TIME

'Koto' is possibly one of the best known for Italo Disco / Spacesynth in the 80s with their huge hit 'Dragons Legend' but since I have already featured that song on this site, I will look at the track 'Time', another huge fav of mine.

Released in 1989 'Time' was from the 'Masterpieces' album.

Koto is an Italian synthpop group that originally consisted of Anfrando Maiola and Stefano Cundari (dec), later with the Dutch composer Michiel van der Kuy (Music Producer - Laserdance).

Sadly Stefano Cundari passed away sometime during mid - late 90s ?

Love this track, the chorus is stunning, so many amazing sounds.. enjoy

CIRCUIT 21 / P LION (Italo Disco Week)

Hello and welcome back .... After a crap week (nasty cold /virus) I thought I would start the week on a high with.... Italo Disco Week  (NEW AND OLD).

NEW

We start with Irish outfit 'Circuit 21', fronted by Robert Brown (Fashion Designer, once toured with Bronski Beat) with the track 'Love in the Shadows' (Remake of 1986 track by E.G Daily)... this is killing then on the music charts... The video is visually stunning

Italian singer 'P LION' (Paolo Pelandi) had this huge hit in 1984 'Happy Children'.. This track was produced by Davide Zambelli (Scotch) and was from the album 'Springtime' (1984)... Love this song, takes me back.. Enjoy

M - POP MUZIK (Lost Hit)

Hello and welcome back... Smashing into the music charts in 1979, U.K outfit 'M' made it to No 2 in the U.K and a slather of No 1 spots including Australia, Germany, Canada, Sweden and the U.S

'M' was fronted by singer,/ producer 'Robin Scott'.
Other musicians who played on the track were his brother Julian Scott (on bass), then unknown keyboardist Wally Badarou (Level 42), Canadian synth programmer John Lewis (who died of AIDS in 1985) and Brigit Novik, (backing vocals).

The single 'Pop Muszik' was from the album "New York • London • Paris • Munich"
Other musicians to play on this album include Phil Gould (Drums - later of Level 42), Gary Barnacle (Saxophone) and ... wait for it... David Bowie with occasional Handclaps, YES..David Bowie (He lives close to where they were recording the album and popped in for a cuppa*)




For me, I love this song... Its early 80s Disco meets New Wave and with the catchy phrase 'New York, London, Paris, Munich, everybody's talkin' `bout Pop Musik'.. Its hard to beat.
