SQUASH GANG - I WANT AN ILLUSION (Lost Hit)

Hello and welcome back.... Italo Disco at its best, 1986 saw this awesome song released into the world...

Spanish band "Squash Gang" had a modest hit with "I want an Illusion".
Francisco Quijada was the musician and his brother José Quijada was the singer. The other member was Cristina Manzano.

Love the snappy keyboard work in the video (The synth is a Akai AX80)..

Long live Italo Disco...

BOXCAR - INSECT (Classic 12" inches)

Hello and welcome back.... What do you you get if you cross New Order and Cabaret Voltaire?

 A. = Boxcar

From the late 80s, Boxcar were one of those bands that from the moment you heard them, you would fall in love.
Their music was that good and in my opinion, should have been bigger than they were....

Boxcar hailed from Sydney, Australia and was fronted by Brisbane singer 'David Smith', Synths were from 'Brett Mitchell and Carol Rohde'.
In 1990 they released the album 'Vertigo' (one of my favorite 80s albums) and this single 'Insect' was from this album.
Another big hit was the song 'Freemason' which was also on the album 'Vertigo' which reached No8 in the U.S Dance charts.
If you ever get the chance to get your hands on this album, I highly recommend it... A 10/10

THE DREAM SEQUENCE - CYBORG IN JAPAN (Sounds like the 80s)

Hello and welcome back.... Stunning new sounds from electronic outfit 'The Dream Sequence' with their science fiction themed song 'Cyborg in Japan' (also known as the Dub Version)..... Awesome Sounds and Amazing Video, Love It. Robots are COOL :)

THE DREAM SEQUENCE - CYBORG IN JAPAN

From the YouTube channel - Using mostly 80s synths this dance song was made using Korg iElectribe (Electronic Drums, changes with the song), Roland TB-303 for the classic 'Acid' sound, Metallic Bass Synth (Reverb cranked), Akai iMPC (Clap Echo) and Various Voice Synths for "Robot Effects).
I love anything Science Fiction and Japanese so i decided to mesh the two together... Hopefully with decent results.
Thank you to the owner of the original video (xXMasterI360Xx).

The use of the Gundam Robots in the video is purely a visual thing. Lots of colour and fast moving machines makes for an incredible visual experience.
