Hello and welcome back......David Bowie is back, His latest single is called "The Stars (Are Out Tonight)" and is from Davids new album "The Next Day" due for release on March 8 2013.
A strange video for "The Stars" but from the moment you hear the song, you know it pure Bowie....
The video also stars Australian model "Andrej Pejic".
This is the second single from Bowie's new album, the first single is called "Where Are We Now" and is more of a moody song.
I'ts great to see another 70s/80s music artist make their way to the come back trail. Excellent.
THE STARS (are out tonight)

ADEVA - adeva
Hello and welcome back... Patrica Daniels aka "Adeva" was a director & vocal coach in her local church choir before she became one of the best late 80s singers. For me she kinda reminds me of "Grace Jones" a bit, with the strong vocals and high hair... Her self titled album was let loose in 1989 and had a string of hits including "respect", "treat me right", "i thank you" and my pick of the album .. "warning"... Love the lyrics and the punchy synths..the in-sync dancers and smooth vocals.. They don't write stuff like this anymore..Enjoy.
Track listing =
1 = respect
2 = treat me right
3 = i thank you
4 = so right
5 = in & out of my life
6 = warning
7 = i don't need you
8 = beautiful love
9 = promises
10 - musical freedom
Simply brilliant... CLICK HERE to Download "Warning" and more from my Mixtape series...... Enjoy

STARLIGHT - NUMERO UNO (lost hit)
Hello and welcome back......Italo House music was booming in 1989 and this song was a huge part of it. Numero Uno was released in 1988 by the "Starlight Invention Group - Numero Uno" with music samples of Aretha Franklin & Rose Royce, but apon its re-release in 89 they redid the lyrics so that legal problems did not arise.
Clubs across Europe loved this song, reaching no 6 in the UK music charts.
Awesome song.

THE BUREAU - ONLY FOR SHEEP (lost hit)
Hello and welcome back..... A one hit wonder in 1981 for UK band "The Bureau", Only for Sheep made it to No6 in the Australian music charts..... Yes folks, we loved this song while the rest of the world.... well, didn't.
Ex Dexy's Midnight Runner bass player (Pete Williams) is one of the band members of The Bureau as was their manager after allegedly sacking Kevin Rowland (Dexy's Lead singer).....5 other band members also left Dexy's,.... Hire some new band members, dress them up as Sheep for a video and the rest is history.
When the band members of "The Bureau" asked the Sheep what they thought of the song, the sheep replied........ Bahahahahahahahahahah
ONLY FOR SHEEP LYRICS (everybody sing)

ONLY FOR SHEEP LYRICS (everybody sing)
That man is in pain and he's shouting so loud
There's a space all around him a space in the crowd
He is holding his head like it's gonna explode
It's part of a new meaning
From deep in his soul
It is only for Sheep
only for sheep, for sheep
Yeah
Cos when you're awake you're a sheep
Yeah
You show us a new way you sound so sincere
How sweet it must be to be able to think so clear
But you are just another in a long line of fools
Giving us freedom
With a new set of rules
It is only for Sheep
only for sheep, for sheep
Yeah
Cos when you're awake then you're a sheep
Yeah
It is only for Sheep
only for sheep, for sheep
Yeah
When you're awake then you're a sheep, asleep
Yeah
That man is in pain and he's shouting so loud
There's a space all around him a space in the crowd
He is holding his head like it's gonna explode
It's part of a new meaning
From deep in his soul
It is only for sheep
only for sheep, for sheep
Yeah
When you're awake you're a sheep
Yeah
It's only it's only it's only for sheep
only for sheep, for sheep
Yeah
When you're awake you're sheep
Yeah
Yeah
Yeah
Yeah
Yeah, it's only for sheep
Only for sheep
For sheep, yeah
When you're awake you're a sheep
Yeah
Yeeeaahh
Only for sheep only for sheep
Many thanks to Geoff Fritz & lachlan.bluehaze.com.au for the lyrics....

ROBERT PALMER
Hello and welcome back.....Robert Allen Palmer (Robert Palmer) was an English singer born in Yorkshire, England.
His voice was very distinctive, and often added other styles of music such as Reggae, Soul & Blues, just to keep it interesting.
Robert was also a member of the band "The Power Station" (think "Some Like It Hot")
Sadly Robert died in September 2003 from a heart attack. He was only 54.
Robert Palmer had a slather of albums to his name (14 in total). The song Simply Irresistible was his biggest hit, reaching No1 in the Australian and US music charts. The album Heavy Nova (1988) was his biggest making it to Gold and Platinum status.
For me, I don't like the song Simply Irresistible, while being flogged on radio you soon got sick of hearing it (The video was pretty good though) and besides Robert had so many other excellent songs you don't hear anymore.
Songs that got my attention were "Johnny and Mary", "Looking for Clues", " Bad case of Loving you (Doctor Doctor)", "Hyperactive" & "Addicted to Love", but it was the song "Early in the Morning" that got my attention, Love the Melodic Synths, the twangy guitars and the unmistakeable voice of Robert..... The song "Hyperactive" also rates a mention, Its an Excellent song.
Robert was known in the music industry as a true gentleman and its good to know his songs will still live on, even if it is the song "Simply Irresistible".
