FAT LARRY BAND - zoom (lost hit)

Hello and welcome back....WOW, how many memories does this song bring back, such a smooth sound and yet if I close my eyes I am taken back to a happier time.... Back to my nans place listening to a small Panasonic radio under my pillow at 2am (I used to stay awake all night) when I used to hear this song so many times. Happier because my nan was still alive, I miss her so much, this song takes me back there.

ROLAND TB-303

Hello and welcome back.... The Roland TB-303 was born in 1982 and changed the sound of electronic dance music. The TB (Transistorized Bass) 303 was a bass synthesizer with a built in sequencer. It was released in the western world from japan to replace a bass guitar. It originally failed, selling only 10 thousand units but it resurfaced in the late 80s (Detroit) as a serious acid dance/techno house synth. By changing a series of knobs on the 303 you could get a sticky acid sound that sounds very futuristic.
Bands that have used the TB-303 are Heaven 17, The KLF,  Phuture and 808 State and just about any band with the word acid in it :)

HEAVEN 17 - LET ME GO

THE KLF - WHAT TIME IS LOVE

PHUTURE - ACID TRACKS

808 STATE - IN YER FACE

THE SOS BAND - just be good to me (lost hit)

Hello and welcome back....Nothing reminds me more of the 80s than this song.
American band The Sos Band had a huge hit in 1983 with "Just be Good to Me"
To me this song sounds smooth and crisp and even in today's rush and pace it still sounds refreshing.
Enjoy

LIMAHL - never ending story (Lost Hit)

Hello and welcome back.... Christopher Hamill (Limahl) first shot to fame in 1982 with the band "Kajagoogoo".
Limahl decided to go solo in 1984 and sang the main theme for the movie "Neverending Story".
The rest of the music for "Neverending Story" was done by Giorgio Moroder (Electric Dreams).

For me, this song (and movie) was one of my favorites, I could relate to running away and disappearing to another world to save a princess. Sadly this never happened, but the movie made me believe that anything was possible.
I have watched this movie over 30 times and still love it.

DIVINE KNIGHTS - clouds (the sanfernando sound remix) - sounds like the 80s

Hello and welcome back.... After huge success with the song "Storm", Divine Knights are back with a new single "Clouds"
This tasty treat of Lush vocals and heavenly synths has been given a extra dose of sweetness having being remixed, affectionately called "The Sanfernando Sound Remix".

The original song "Clouds" is from the newly released album "Midnight" and is available from ITunes.

This remix version has given the song a danceable quality which sounds amazing and the costumes are "Divine"

For me, this band sounds alot like "Pet Shop Boys" or even "Depeche Mode".
Divine Knights also do a cover of Bronski Beat" - Smalltown Boy" which you can find on their album "Midnight"

A stellar effort from Divine Knights.
