Hello and welcome back.... Fresh from performing on Australia's got Talent, this band is Amazing. Everything I love about new music, this band has got it. Their outfits are incredible and remind me of early 80s New Romantic vs Empire of the Sun. Their music is divine with synths blending smooth vocals and punchy beats.
This song"Storm" is the first of their new album "Midnight" and is available on iTunes
This is one band to watch... Cheers

ROGUE TRADERS - stay ( sounds like the 80s )
Hello and welcome back... Sounding incredibly like Human League or even early Spandau Ballet, this song from Australian band "Rogue Traders" called Stay kicks with tasty beats of the 80s. Known for their love of 80s music, this band also brought out a remix of an Inxs song (Need you Tonight) called "One of my kind"... Love the funky lizard.

DEF FX
Hello and welcome back....Def Fx originally started in the late 80s but got their fame in the early 90s. Their music is described as late 80s electronica meets 90s grunge & heavy metal.
Members of the band include lead singer "Fiona Horne", "Blake Gardner" on guitars, "Sean Lowry" on synths-sequencers-samples,and Martyn Basha on bass.
Def Fx is an Australian band from Sydney N.S.W
Def Fx has released a slather of albums but my favourite would be "Majick", a mix of heavy acid type synths with pulsating electric guitars and driving beats... It even has a Didgeridoo (Aboriginal music instrument).
My song picks from this band would be " I'll be your Majick", "Headfuck", "Psychoactive Summer", "Space time Disco" and " Surfers of the Mind".
Lead singer "Fiona Horne" has been in the spotlight in recent years due to the fact she practices Witchcraft (Wiccan) and has written several books on Witchcraft and Magic.
This is one of my favourite bands mostly because they sound like no other band, and the mix of synths and guitar with driving beats is a sure winner.
I'LL BE YOUR MAJICK
HEADFUCK
PSYCHOACTIVE SUMMER
SPACE TIME DISCO
SURFERS OF THE MIND

DONNA SUMMER - died 17/05/2012
Hello and welcome back...Sadly another great musician from the 70s/80s has passed away.
Donna Summer died on the 17th may 2012 due to complications with cancer. She was only 63
Donna had some great songs from the disco era in the 70s thru to the early & late 80s
I will always love remembering Saturday night parties when Donna Summers song "I Feel Love" blasted out of the speakers with the heavy synths played by music genius Giorgio Moroder.... good times
Other songs I like from Donna Summer is "Hot Stuff", "She works hard for the money",State of Independence" and "This time i know its for real".
Rest In Peace Donna.
I FEEL LOVE
HOT STUFF
SHE WORKS HARD FOR THE MONEY
STATE OF INDEPENDENCE
THIS TIME I KNOW IT'S FOR REAL
THANK YOU FOR THE MUSIC

PHILIP BAILEY - walking on the chinese wall ( lost hit )
Hello and welcome back.... Set free in 1984, Philip Bailey released the album Chinese Wall.
What made this album so good (apart from the excellent vocals)... the drummer and synth player was the man himself " Phil Collins".
Philip Bailey was also a member of the 70s band "Earth, Wind & Fire"
The album Chinese wall also had the hit "Easy Lover", a ballad also with Phil Collins...
This album made it to #22 on the music charts and #10 on the hip hop/ r&b music charts.
I love Walking on the Chinese wall, it reminds me so much of the 80s... with the twangy guitars, honey vocals and the superb sound of the crashing drums, its another feel good song. Cheers.
