1983 - LOST HITS MIXTAPE (Re-Recorded FLAC EX)

Hello and Welcome Back... Re-Recorded / Mastered for the Original Master Tape and Available in FLAC EXpanded Frequency Format... Soundz Moist

Ah 1983... I was 13 and in Year 7 High School (Hello Campbelltown High, where the barb wire is pointed on the inside to keep the students in... A joke we used to say)

Probably the best part of 1983 for me, was going to my Nans for the weekend.

I was a little shit heading into my teen years (ask my mother), very restless and a very short attention span which used to drive my poor mum nuts, so she sent me off to my Nan's for a little R & R.

At my Nan's, i was allowed to borrow her transistor radio at night and i would lay awake listening to the radio, mostly radio stations like 2UW, Magic11, & 2SM (Sydney, Australia) as i was shit scared that something was under my bed..

My Nan's Radio

I swear my Nan's house was haunted, it was always ice cold, even in summer and had a real creepy vibe to it.

As a 13yo kid, i was privy to these sorts of things...

Something felt bad and it wasn't my Nan snoring
It was the reason i stayed awake listening to the radio, i was too shit scared to fall asleep in case something possessed my body... true story

This Mixtape was recorded on my Dads stereo system, all components made in Japan (as most stereo systems in 1983 were) mostly when he wasn't home.

It was a mix of Denon, Ikel, Kenwood & Technics.

The speakers alone cost $3500...In 1983, that was alot of money...

Probably its also why my mum divorced him.

I would have to make sure all the settings were exactly in the right spot when i finished recording...

About 20mins after he got home, I would hear him scream 'Who's been f*cken playing with my stereo' booming across the house as it seems i forgot to set the tape counter back to 0000

Most of the tracks were from my Dads Record Collection, some were from radio station Triple M.

I have remastered the tracks in stunning FLAC EXpanded Frequency so the music sounds 'Palpable'

Some of the tracks you may not recognize, but once you listen, you will go 'Oh Yeah, I Remember This'
