Hello and welcome back.... Thought i would take a look at some of the bands that i loved when growing up through the 80s...
First band is 'Kids in the Kitchen'
Formed in 1983, 'the kids' as they were sometimes known, were a Melbourne band and had huge success during 1983 - 1987 period. They were heavily influence by bands like Duran Duran, Spandau Ballet... They were in the same frame as Real Life, Pseudo Echo & Dear Enemy.
During this time they release their 1985 album 'Shine' and its an album i still listen to. Its a good blend of melodic guitars, fresh sounding synths and perfected vocals from front man 'Scott Carne'.
Around 1987 saw the album 'Terrain' released before the band split and went their separate ways.
If you have never heard of 'Kids in the Kitchen' take a listen, its a band i love, with cleverly crafted tracks that you can listen to, over and over again.
