SYLVESTER ( ft PATRICK COWLEY ) - do you wanna funk

Hello and welcome back.... Another song I thought I had already done but no.... I have been slack.
This powerhouse of a song graced our radio's back in 1982, "Sylvester" (Sylvester James) was the singer and it was produced by "Patrick Cowley".
Patrick died the same year this song was released (1982)
Sylvester died in 1988
Previous to his death, Patrick also had hits with "Menergy" and "Megatron Man"
I head this song on a CD last night while picking up my daughter from work, while the music was playing, bass was pumping, the back door was slightly open so it was like my own private disco as the interior light was flickering on & off.... Hhhmm... you had to be there.

LIVING IN A BOX - living in a box

Hello and welcome back..... British band "Living in a Box" was formed in 1985 but it wasn't until 1987 till the band saw the music charts with a self titled song "Living in a Box" reaching no5 in the U.K music charts.
For me, I first heard this song while working in a retail store called "Venture"... it was kinda like a small version of K-Mart and can you guess what I was in charge of?... The toy section, Oh what fun I had setting up massive displays while listening to songs like "Living in a Box" only to watch some 5 year old kid pick the toy at the bottom and my work of art (Toy Display) came crashing down. Still it was my first job and it taught me how to deal with outraged mothers that couldn't find their kids, who just happened to be buried under a pile of Care Bears...
